Opening Ceremonies: La Madonna Del Soccorso will process to the Christopher Columbus WaterFront Park for the Annual blessing of the Fishing Waters. We also welcome our Sister Blessed Mother societies to take part in a special blessing for the Assumption.
Saturday Aug 17th

Join the Children of the Fisherman's Society as they process their statue of the Madonna around the festival.
Sunday Aug 18th

High Mass in honor of La Madonna Del Soccorso Di Sciacca held at St Leonard's Church.
12:30pm
Grand procession of la Madonna through the streets of the North End accompanied by Marching bands and floats.
10:30pm
Closing ceremonies and the return of La Madonna to her permanent chapel on Lewis Street.

The Famous Flight of the Angel. As the statue of the Madonna returns to North street for the finale of the day long procession she is greeted by a crowd of enthusiastic spectators, each waiting for the opportunity to witness the Famous Flight of the Angel.
Yankee Magazine calls it "truly one of Boston’s greatest treasures" and National Geographic say’s “It’s a spectacle NOT to be missed!’" As the angel ceremony is completed the spectators below are covered by a snowfall of confetti paper from the rooftops. This years Flying Angel is Victoria Carregal, with side angels Mia Graffeo and Gianna Puccio
